Permanent Makeup Queen

We just completed the process of applying eyebrow tattoos, permanent eyeliner, and permanent lip makeup. She now looks good enough to be the “Queen of Queen Creek, Arizona” where her family calls home.

  I asked Jodee to go on television with me for my latest appearance on the live lifestyles show, “Sonoran Living,” which airs mornings across Arizona on ABC 15 in Phoenix. Jodee had never had permanent makeup before. She never had been on TV before either. “It was very interesting to see all that happens behind the scenes of a live TV show,” said Jodee. “There’s so much activity. I enjoyed seeing how the process goes and it’s amazing to see what they can do to make a studio to get different looks on camera out of one studio.”

For me it was also fun and amazing to see all we could to enhance Jodee’s appearance with permanent makeup. She contacted me after seeing me on the show last month. She had a couple of good reasons for doing so.

Jodee wanted to change the look of her eyebrows. She was self-conscious about this area of her face because of how very sparse they were. She also had grown weary of her never ending daily battle with eyeliner. “It was always a problem for me,” said Jodee. “I just constantly was having issues with keeping on eyeliner. I don’t know if it was just because of the Arizona heat. But it was always smearing on me.”

The truth is Jodee already had nice-looking lips. She didn’t really need to get a permanent makeup lips procedure. But she grew interested during our consultation when I spoke to her about the total look of facial symmetry where we would not only bring out the best in the natural contours of her face, but also add balance to this new beauty. Once I showed her this using topical makeup, Jodee was hooked.

The better news is as is the case with any successful marriage, Jodee’s husband agreed. “He was actually a pretty easy sell,” she joked. “Once he saw the difference in how Sally made me look he told me to go for it! He likes it, too.”
