Permanent Makeup: Driving Miss Crazy

tattoo pigment  phoenix-arizona-permanent-makeupSorry for the pun on the movie “Driving Miss Daisy.” I simply couldn’t resist,. And there’s two good, fresh reasons for it. One’s a permanent makeup Los Angeles story. The other is a permanent makeup Phoenix story. Let’s start with L.A. since I’m working here today.

tattoo ink On our commute to work this morning, my friend Donna and I couldn’t help but watch in sheer amazement as a woman driving next  us was busy smearing foundation all over her face. She was driving with her arm while using the back of her hand and what might as well have been a putty knife to slab on makeup. It was not a pretty sight.

We were sad we had to turn off the road. Here we were in the land of Hollywood and we left a thrilling movie right in the middle. But wait, it gets better.

I then receive an email from a client in Phoenix. The timing was so perfect I just had to share it with you. It’s a classic tale of someone else who could use permanent makeup.

“Good morning Sally,

I hope you are well. I must tell you this quick story. This morning I had just dropped off my son at Phoenix Country Day School as I do every day. Another ho hum morning, right? Wrong.

An SUV in front of me on Camelback Road was all over the place. Swerving from lane to lane, driving slow then faster, then slower again, hitting the brakes, etc. I might have called 9-1-1 but left my cellphone at home.

It seemed a little early in the day to me for a DUI situation, and sure enough it wasn’t. I was able to pull up beside this SUV at a red light just before it turned green. I got there just in time to see the woman driving punch her steering wheel really hard. Ouch.

It seems she was mad at doing her makeup!

She took off again doing more of her bad driving while she focused more on her eye makeup. At the next red light I rolled down my window to get her attention and suggest she be more careful. The woman was busy applying mascara. I guess she wasn’t happy with her makeup or me because when she finally did look over…she flipped me the bird and then zoomed off!

I thought this might be a great story for the next time you’re on TV on Sonoran Living! LOL. But the way this woman was driving she’ll probably make an ABC 15 News story first for causing a major accident! Who ever thought we’d be saying Sally Hayes Permanent Makeup could actually make Phoenix, Arizona a safer place to live?

By the way, my eyebrows and eyeliner look great. I’m getting so many compliments. I’m so glad Denise referred me to you. Speaking of Camelback, thanks again for your help in fixing my bad permanent makeup job from you know who. I don’t even want to say her name it makes me so mad. I’m grateful for you every day especially on mornings like this one when I was running late. You’ve made my life so much easier.”

Be careful on the roads today ladies. Whether you’re in Los Angeles or Phoenix, be sure to watch out for Driving Miss Crazy.
