Bad Permanent Lip Makeup Gives Hospital Heart Attack

Bad Permanent Lip Makeup

tattoo pigment  Have you ever felt like maybe you were having a heart attack? It’s a scary feeling. Many people actually avoid calling for emergency help because they have more fear of the potential embarrassment that it might just be a false alarm. Well, here’s a different twist on this common occurrence.

Yesterday, I had a new client in my permanent makeup Scottsdale, Arizona clinic. Her name is Joanne. She is one of those women you can’t help but like right away. In fact, I liked everything about her…except of course, her lips. But I wasn’t alone in my opinion. Joanne came to see me because she didn’t like her lips either.

But here’s where the plot thickens…

It turns out the staff at a Phoenix, Arizona area hospital didn’t like the look of her lips one bit. Joanne recently had a knee replacement surgery done. In preparing her for the procedure, the hospital staff couldn’t help but notice the unique set of gray colored lips on this strawberry blonde patient. They feared she might be having a heart attack and kept running checks to make sure she was okay.

Joanne told the hospital staff about the bad permanent lip makeup she suffered at the hands of an equally bad permanent makeup artist. This situation was the last straw for this strawberry blonde and she came to me for help.  (And take my word and Joanne’s, in person her lips look worse than in the photo here).

It had been 12 long years she wore this bad permanent makeup, trying to hide it as best she could. This totally defeated the purpose of why she got permanent makeup in the first place. Joanne kept thinking, kept hoping her lips might somehow look better as they faded. But they only turned more gray.

I told her it would surely take multiple applications to get her lips right. She didn’t mind. She told me her husband recently left her for another woman, and said, “I don’t care if it takes 2 years! He’s going to pay for it. And I am finally going to enjoy beautiful looking lips!”

I will do my best to make Joanne smile and love her new permanent lip makeup. As for the permanent makeup artist who messed up Joanne’s lips and gives us professionals a bad name, I’d like to give her a fat lip.
