A Permanent Makeup Veteran’s Salute

permanent makeup ink phoenix arizona permanent makeup consultationI’m a veteran of permanent makeup. I’ve been doing procedures successfully as a permanent makeup artist for more than 25 years. It’s been very rewarding work in serving the wants and needs of women from Scottsdale to Las Vegas to Memphis and most of the states in the union.

I am grateful to have been given the ability and opportunity to help thousands of women look much better and feel much better about themselves. I value giving them an easier roadmap for enjoying a less time consuming routine in managing and maintaining their daily appearance. All of this is important to me…on most days of the year. But there are days on the calendar where I feel humbled. One of those is Veteran’s Day.

I just wanted to take a moment to salute and give thanks to the men and women who make up our armed forces for answering a personal call to duty which requires dedication, courage, and sacrifice far greater than mine. I am free to enjoy the career I’m so passionate about, thanks in part to many brave men and women who have served and protected our country through military positions here in the United States and abroad. In wars, crises and conflicts the people who choose military service show they are a special breed, willing to risk their lives and the relationships they love with everyone and everything they love because of their love of country.

It has been an honor to work on some members of the military, but many more of my permanent makeup clients have been wives or mothers of those in active duty, I think it is also important to point out these women and their families have too found themselves needing to sacrifice and often endure challenges in support of their loved ones.

So as a proud American on this Veteran’s Day 2012 it is nice to see many people appreciating those who work and fight when necessary to protect others and freedom. I can remember a time when this wasn’t the case.
